A native of North East Connecticut, Robert has always been a creative entrepreneur.  Some of his early ventures were Wall Stone Interiors, a painting and restoration company for fine homes, and Olive Tree Catering, a gourmet catering company. Robert spent many years traveling in Europe from the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy and France where he discovered his next big idea.  In 1991 Robert opened Café Earth, one of the first few cafes to serve espresso drinks outside of a major metropolitan citie .   Café Earth was located on the campus of the University Of Connecticut. The energy and liveliness of the European styled café eventually grew to a great success and Robert expanded to multiple locations.  Robert sold the last of his cafés in 2001 and was searching for his next venture.  It started simply by purchasing his first condo on South Beach, an ocean front unit on Ocean Dr.  This expanded to a savvy real estate investor buying and selling a portfolio of over a dozen properties.  During this time Robert obtained his real estate license.  Working at Athena Realty, dedication and hard work quickly earned Robert number 1 agent for sales and rentals at Athena and top 5% on Miami Beach.  Robert, a successful real estate investor, is proficient at forecasting market trends and has been very successful at helping his clients find the best real estate deals and selling at the appropriate time to earn profits.

Five Boston to New York AIDS rides, numerous AIDS walks in New York, Boston, Hartford and Miami.  Robert participated in several Walk For The Animals both in Miami And Fort Lauderdale.  Robert participated in Breast Cancer Walks in Miami.  Robert also completed three trips to New Orleans to work with Habitat For Humanity, rebuilding in the Lower Ninth Ward. Robert has made a commitment to continue giving and welcomes others to join him.

George Thomas, Broker
George studied engineering at Cornell University and NJIT, and Business at Renssellaer Lally School of Business.  He worked in the technical industry for 14 years managing large Engineering and Information Technology projects.  Simultaneously, George did several years of Real Estate freelance work in New York and Connecticut after becoming licensed in 1992.  George fell in love with real estate and in 2004 decided to take the full time challenge in the Miami, Miami Beach and South Beach Market.  Initially working for Beachfront Realty Inc, where he achieved awards for top producer and then opening a small professional service oriented real estate office.  George’s clientele ranged from ultra luxury properties, to investor properties, to the first time home buyer purchasing their first home. All were provided with the best possible service.  The current real estate market is extremely challenging for buyers, sellers and realtors alike.  George’s commitment to service and finding the best deals, have allowed him to thrive in these difficult market conditions.

Alex
Alex is a Bernese Mountain or Swiss Mountain dog.  Alex is 6 years old.  Alex is Robert’s companion and our executive greeter.  Alex was a gift to Robert from a client after a difficult transaction in 2003.  This could not have happened at a better time since Robert has recently loss his beloved Lausanne, also a Bernese Mountain dog.  In addition to greeting visitors, Alex also participates in real estate showings and is a traveler.  He has traveled several times to Connecticut, Cape Cod, South Hampton, Disney World and New Orleans.  Among other events, Alex was asked and did participate in the Miami Beach Deco Weekend parade on Ocean Drive, the opening night event for Breast Cancer month in downtown Miami and The Bal Harbour’s Human Society Pet Walk.  Alex looks forward to your visit at our office.
